Recovered heat is then used  to heat or preheat another flue gas for use in other processes. That allows plants to optimize energy and process efficiency, achieve significant savings and improve cost-effectiveness.

The combined plate and tube type air preheater combines the advantages of plate type and tube type, and is more suitable for high sulfur working conditions and anti scaling. The preheating is divided into high temperature section and low temperature section according to the inlet and outlet temperature requirements of flue gas.

1. The plate wall thickness is 0.8-2mm, and the tube's is generally 2-3mm; 
2. Under the same heat transfer conditions, K value is 1.5-2 times of the tube bundle type;
3. Under the same conditions, the pressure drop is 20% - 50% of the tube bundle type;
4. In the same 1m2 space, the tube bundle can be arranged with a heat exchange area of about 20 m2, while the plate heat exchanger can be arranged with a general area of 40-80 m2;
