The converter steelmaking process is based on molten iron, scrap steel and ferroalloy as the main raw materials. Without the help of external energy, it relies on the physical heat of molten iron and the chemical reaction between the components of molten iron to generate heat. Converter fume and dust refers to the brown fume emitted in the process of converter blowing. It is a mixture of burner gas and fume, which is mainly composed of nitrogen oxides and carbon monoxide, and also a small amount of carbon dioxide and trace amounts of other high-temperature gases and fume. In order to effectively control the air pollution caused by flue gas oxynitride, new medium temperature or low temperature denitrification devices and GGH devices for flue gas waste heat recovery are needed in steelworks.

High temperature denitration and purified flue gas heats the low temperature side raw flue gas, then flows into the subsequent denitration device, recycling the excess heat and heating the raw flue gas at the same time, overcoming the problems existing in the traditional light tube or finned tube heat exchanger structure such as uncompact  structure, high consumption of pipes. At the same time, as the flue gas contains large amount of dust, the fin tubes are easy to get blocked and it is not easy to clean when dust is accumulated. Denitration device adopts the plate structure of preheater. The distribution of flue gas flow inside the plate is even. The running resistance of linear flow along the plate of flue gas is small. The reasonable design of flow design between plates make it not easy to cause ash fouling. Specially designed plate type improves flue gas turbulence kinetic energy and at the same time reduce the ash fouling adhesion, further enhancing heat transfer efficiency. Both online and offline cleaning can be set according to the working condition, which will reduce equipment maintenance replacement cycle and prolong the service life.
