Process for wet coke quenching is simple and cost less for investment, but causes sever pollution to environment.
Wet coking procedure: Coke quenching truck carries the high-temperature coke to the coke quenching tower and coke quenching water is directly poured on the high-temperature coke to cool it down. Several sets of spray heads are installed above the coke quenching tower. They are directly sprayed to cool the tower, generating a large amount of smoke which comes out from the top of the coke quenching tower. Flue gas is discharged to atmosphere through the chimney. This way not only wastes a lot of coke cooling water, large amount of saturated wet flue gas is generated in this process.This saturated wet flue gas is discharged into the atmospherethroughchimney, and produces a large number of white mist.The wet saturated flue gas produced during the coking process contains a large amount of emissions including hydrogen sulfide, sulfur dioxide, benzopyrene, nitrogen oxides, volatile phenol, cyanide, ammonia, sulfur oxide, hydrogen sulfide, which cause pollution to the environment and at the same time cause serious corrosion and rusting to main equipment and ancillary facility.

The high temperature saturated wet smoke of coke quenching and the low temperature unsaturated smoke of coke quenching are used for heat exchange between the high temperature saturated wet smoke of coke quenching and the low temperature unsaturated smoke of coke quenching. At the same time, the adjustable gas dynamic balance device is used to reduce the humidity saturation of coke quenching flue gas and achieve the purpose of initial cooling.
The saturated wet flue gas cooling and condensing device is used to collect the water containing gaseous pollutants recovered from the coke quenching flue gas by cooling water vapor, so as to avoid pollution problems caused by direct discharge;
Our company adopts the process of condensing and heating for the emission of flue gas to achieve the purpose of whitening. In this scheme, the high temperature flue gas of 100~120ºC is firstly heated to about 50ºC after condensation, and the cold flue gas is discharged after heating to 70ºC to achieve the effect of no white smoke at the same time.Heating flue gas equipment with glass tube bundle as heat transfer unit, has excellent corrosion resistance, not easy to ash accumulation, small flow resistance, high thermal utilization and convenient maintenance.
