CCUS(Carbon Capture,Utilization and Storage)
(currently focuses on carbon dioxide capture processes, with existing processes using absorption.
Chemical absorption methods
Alcohol-amine methods date back to the 1930s and, although other methods have been used, for natural gas and refinery For natural gas and refinery gas, the alcohol-amine method is still dominant. Primarily, amines are used to bind carbon dioxide, allowing it to form ammonium salts, which can then be released at high temperatures. Typical chemical absorbents are monoethanolamine (MEA), diethanolamine (DEA), diisopropanolamine (DIPA) and methylenedipropylamine (MDDA). (DIPA) and methyl diethanolamine (MDEA), etc. Reversible reaction, depending on the temperature, low-temperature amine solution and carbon dioxide to form ammonium salts, high-temperature ammonium salt solution decomposition regenerates carbon dioxide gas. Generally at 38 ºC to form a salt, CO2 is absorbed, the reaction to the right; at 110 ºC the reverse reaction occurs, releasing CO2, regeneration generated, release CO2, regeneration of the absorbent can be recycled. Regeneration tower insulation is particularly important.
