Air pre-heater is a kind of preheating equipment used to improve the heat exchange performance of boiler and reduce heat loss. The function of an air preheater is to conduct the heat carried by the flue gas discharged from the tail flue of the boiler to the air before entering the boiler through the heat sink, so as to preheat the air to a certain temperature. This air preheater equipment is mostly used in coal-fired power plant boiler.
Generally there are three types of air preheaters, plate type, tubular type and rotary type. We design and manufacture both plate type and tubular type according to ASME standard.
This plate type air preheater is usually made of 0.8-2.0mm steel sheet. The steel plate is welded into a rectangular box, and several boxes are assembled into a group. The whole air preheater is composed of 2-4 boxes. The flue gas passes through the outside of the box from top to bottom, and the air passes through the inside of the box transversely. At the bottom, it turns upward and transfers energy with the flue gas twice, which makes the flue gas and air form a reverse flow and obtain better heat transfer efficiency.
This type has advantages of high heat transfer performance, easy assembly and small installation area.
The main heat transfer component of tubular air preheater is thin-walled steel tube, glass tube or silicon carbide tube. Most tubular air preheaters are cubic in shape. The steel pipes are arranged vertically and staggered with each other, and the two ends are welded on the upper and lower tube sheets. The tube type air preheater is equipped with an intermediate tube plate in the tube box. The flue gas passes through the preheater up and down along the steel pipe, and the air passes through the preheater horizontally to complete heat conduction.
The advantages of tubular air preheater are good sealing, high heat transfer efficiency, easy to manufacture and process, so it is widely used in power station boiler and industrial boiler.
