GGH is an important device in flue gas desulfurization syestem. Its role is to use the original flue gas to heat net flue gas after desulfurization, reduce the original flue gas temperature increase net flue gas temperature to reach the specified discharge requirements(more than about 80 ºC), through chimneys discharged into the atmosphere.

Improve desulfurization efficiency:desulfurization efficiency increases with the decrease of flue gas temperature at the inlet of absorption tower, so the system usually uses GGH device to cool the original flue gas.
